Management Training (Onboarding Intensive, Cohort 1)

Your direct report is in the Onboarding Intensive; this management training is for you, their supervisor.

This series is a companion to Cohort 1 of Leading Edge’s Onboarding Intensive. It is a supplemental management training (not required but strongly encouraged) for supervisors of the participants in the Onboarding Intensive.

Facilitator: Meredith Bliss, consultant and long-time adjunct trainer at The Management Center, will lead sessions designed to give supervisors of early career professionals the mindsets, skills, and real-world tools to lead with more ease and confidence.

January 28, 1:00 - 2:30 pm ET: Virtual Call #1 | Moving from Individual Contributor to Manager & from Doer to Leader

  • Understanding and building the mindsets of great managers and Jewish nonprofit leaders.

February 18, 1:00 - 2:30 pm ET: Virtual Call #2 | Communicating & Building Trust

  • Clear and consistent communication, giving and receiving feedback that builds trust.

March 4, 1:00 - 2:30 pm ET: Virtual Call #3 | Coaching, Developing People

  • Coaching approaches to grow and develop your team.

March 18, 1:00 - 2:30 pm ET: Virtual Call #4 | Decision-Making & Navigating Conflict

  • Communicating effectively in challenging situations.

May 6, 3:30 - 4:30 pm ET: Cohort Check-in and Conclusion

  • Fueling your learning and developing your practice.
Skills You'll Build
  • Develop leadership mindsets: understand how your beliefs, defaults, and strengths shape the way you lead and engage
  • Build skills that actually stick: learn practical tools, frameworks, scripts and habits you can use immediately to strengthen communication and work
