Sara Singla joins Leading Edge as the Senior Director, Executive Programs. Previously she worked for 11 years at Hillel International, most recently as the Director of Organizational Development, raising the level of organizational productivity and efficiency by listening to her coworkers and co-creating solutions with them to ensure they can do their best work. She is from Philadelphia, PA making her an avid (re: obsessed) Philadelphia sports fan. Currently, she lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Manish and their grumpy rescue pup, Duke Silver.

What drew you to Leading Edge?

The powerhouse staff and the mission. I believe in crafting intentional organizational culture and helping organizations see that as vital to their success. I am so excited to learn from and work with the staff at Leading Edge who has been doing this sector-wide. 

What does a “great place to work” mean to you?

A great place to work is one in which the employees are engaged in their work and passionate about the organization's success. The organization has a healthy work culture that values its employees and works to ensure they can and want to do their best work every day. To me, it means seeing each other as full people and leading from a place of clear and communicated values. 

What are you looking forward to most about your new position?

I'm so excited to get started! I can't wait to work with Dena to understand where the Executive Programs have come from and where they are going. I also can't wait to build relationships across the organization and with the participants. 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? 

Lead with a posture of curiosity. 

What’s your favorite place to travel?

Anywhere with a beach! 

What's the best TV show, movie, book, or podcast you've consumed in the last year?

So hard to choose because I listened, read, and watched so much. But if I had to pick one thing, I think Ted Lasso is the best thing I watched this past year.
